We pray for the repose of the Soul of BRUNA HOWIE who died recently (Bruna arranged flowers in the parish for many years). May God’s perpetual light shine upon her and grant consolation to her family.

Many thanks to everyone for your very generous Christmas offerings. Thank you for all the gifts and the beautiful and thoughtful cards; I am deeply touched by all of your kindness & generosity. I pray God to bless you bountifully.



ARE YOU AVAILABLE TO HELP :-

Please volunteers are needed to help strip and put away the Christmas trees and crib on Thur. 14th Jan. after 10am Mass. Thank you.



MISSIONARIES OF ST PAUL (MSP) :-

The Order Fr Francis belongs to, thanks all parishioners for your support in the outgone year & wishes you a blessed New Year 2021.



SMINISTRIES + SERVICE IN THE PARISH :-

Will you consider giving some time, may be briefly or more regularly, to assist with flower arranging, cleaning the church, singing or reading at Mass, or any area you consider you can serve at English Martyrs.



FIRST HOLY COMMUNION :-

Sessions resume on Saturday9th January 2021 at 10.30am. We thank the catechists, parents and all the Children for their participation.



FR FRANCIS WILL BE AWAY :-

From 3rd January to 28th January. Fr Henry Nkop MSP and Fr Binoy from Merstham will attend to the pastoral needs of the parish at various times. Pls keep me in your prayers as I visit my family in Nigeria.



SPECIAL APPRECIATION :-

As the New Year begins, on behalf of the parish, may I take this opportunity to massively thank all those who during the past year have helped with various aspects of the parish life: the virtual worship operators, stewards, altar servers, church cleaners, flower arrangers, special ministers of Holy Communion, readers, sacristans, secretaries, money counters, gift aid organiser and those draw various rotas. Can I also thank those who have helped with the general maintenance and gardening, those who bring the housebound to Church etc. Thanks also to the choir and musicians, hymn choosers, catechist, Children’s “liturgists”, book keepers (accountant) and Finance Committee. Finally, thank you to everyone who serves or intends to serve the parish in any capacity. You are always appreciated. Once again, my thanks to all of you, for your kindness and generosity. Your selfless and fervent service to the parish has gone a long way to build further this Worshiping Community and the family of English Martyrs, Horley. Together we are “building” the Body of Christ. In the New Year, please do not hesitate to bring your observations, innovations and questions to Fr Francis they will be all prayerfully considered. God bless you all (Fr. Francis).
